Two medical laser systems at two locations for pin-sharp stainless steel marking

Context
As one of the largest academic hospitals in the Netherlands, Amsterdam UMC sets the highest standards for its instruments. Stainless steel plates and medical instruments must be marked durably. These markings need to withstand intensive sterilisation processes and years of use without losing legibility.
Challenge
The hospital needed a powerful, highly reliable laser system that could be operated by rotating staff across different departments. Ease of use was essential: no complicated settings, just direct results. On top of that, the organisation wanted an experienced technician from Breda directly on the line when questions came up, without going through anonymous helpdesks or support tickets.
Solution
Lion Lasers supplied and installed two identical Lion Fiber Medical laser systems at two different UMC locations. Both the VUMC and AMC locations are set up with these systems. The machines are specifically configured for engraving medical stainless steel with maximum repeatability and consistent quality. Including personal training and direct support from Breda.
